I have used the mxGraphComponent.setConnectable method to disallow dragging a node unto an edge. This also makes it impossible to create new edges by click'n'drag from one node to another. When hovering the mouse cursor on a node, I only get the drag icon.

\n

Is it possible to prevent node-to-edge dragging, while at the same time allow dynamic edge creation?

Use mxGraph.setDropEnabled(false) instead.
